Trent is a second-year political science major at Parkland College and Intern for the Champaign County Clerk’s Office. He plans to transfer to UIUC after this year. This is his second year with the Prospectus. In his first year, he won three state awards from the Illinois Community College Journalism Association in the categories of Headlines, Editorial Writer of the Year, and Editorial Board.
