Parkland’s Golf team is out to an astonishing start this season. They won their first meeting at the Charger Classic in Galesburg, Illinois, which took place on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014. Joe Powell shot a 69 which led the team for the event.
The Cobras have had two other matches since then placing 5th in the Chicago State Invitational, and then trying to repeat their victory of last year’s MWAC Tournament they placed 2nd falling short to Illinois Central College.
The team has just two more events this season. The next event takes place at the Butler University Fall Golf invite, which should bring a lot of tough competition and excitement to watch. The other event, The Bank of Springfield Bulldog Classic will take place in Springfield, Illinois at the Panther Creek Monday, Oct. 20 through Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014. This will be a great opportunity to see your Parkland Cobras show their colors and fly high against local challengers in our state capital.
