Stormy skies are not stopping these Saturday morning shoppers at Urbana’s Market at the Square. Rain or shine, located on the corner of Illinois and Vine Streets, the Urbana Farmer’s Market at the Square is open from 7 a.m.–12 p.m. every Saturday. The market is open through the months of May until the end of October.
The market offers a weekly changing selection of locally made and grown products in Illinois. Everything from fruits, vegetables, honey, flowers, meat, dairy and hand-made arts and crafts are available.
There are all sorts of demos and learning opportunities for people of all ages at the market. Here you see a future black belt learning how to break a board during a karate demo.
Street performers of many different varieties are out every weekend to entertain the crowds during the farmer’s market.
The City of Urbana also has a matching service for Illinois LINK users called SNAP. The farmer’s market matches up to $25 spent on your LINK card.
