CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Parkland College Athletics and Cobras Volleyball are proud to announce that Kat Blase has been honored with national recognition from the National Junior College Athletic Association.
The Cobras middle-hitter was named the NJCAA Division II Offensive Player of the Week based on her performances during the week of August 30-September 5. The five matches included opponents ranked No. 2 and No. 11 in NJCAA Division II.
For the week as a whole, the Charleston, Ill., native played in 15 sets, producing 42 kills with only 6 errors on 79 attempts. She hit an impressive .456 and added four aces from the service line, helping to lead the Cobras (16-1) to four match victories.
