CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Parkland College women’s soccer team traveled to Kishwaukee College on Monday afternoon and walked out with a 4-1 victory. The win was the Cobras third in a row and first on the road.
“I am so proud of how this team kept working hard and did not give up,” said Head Coach Dan Vogelsang after the win. “Their determination and hard work to control the flow of this game finally paid off.”
The Cobras (3-3-0) got on the score sheet quickly with a 2nd minute goal from Caris White, but remained quiet for the rest of the first half. Parkland began to take control in the second half when White scored her second goal of the night, quickly followed by two goals from Milly Machinchy. The Kougars (0-2-1) did not go quietly however, scoring in the 84th minute of the game. Parkland goalkeeper Rebecca Painter had two saves in the win.

“We had a team goal tonight to get the win and keep the streak alive,” Vogelsang admitted after the game. “I am so happy for our players and to see them accomplish something that hasn’t been done for the past few years – 3 wins in a row.”
